Garden fence height question
I understand that you can’t have a fence higher that 2m without planning permission. Does this also apply if you have 1.5M of wall with 1m of fence on top?

Re: Garden fence height question
Height is irrelevant over six feet , just nail some carpet grippers on to the top of it and paint them the same colour as the fence, they are vicious bastards.

Re: Garden fence height question
Interesting "fact" about fences.

The boundary between two gardens is immeasurable, that is, there is no measurement. However, it is considered polite to instal a boundary on your side of your garden, which must not overlap another property.
This usually apllies to fences.

With trees, these must be planted as far back as the tree will grow outwards so as not to overgrow on another garden.

Boundaries and fences account for most disputes between neighbours

Just remove half a metre of topsoil from your garden.

Sorted.

Oh, and wipe your knob on the fence.

Re: Garden fence height question
Our new neighbours moved in and promptly installed a new higher fence. Not only does it look shit because they left the shorter concrete supports in but its also completely changed the character of our garden. Feels really hemmed in now and a lot less light.

Not impressed at all

Feel into the need to have a fence, bruu.

Say “yes” to that need.

Really feel into that “yes”.

Now ask yourself, do you still need that fence?

Re: Garden fence height question
The legal fence height is 2 metres from ground level which includes trellis.Anything over requires planning permission.
